How It Works

Claim your space on the world's digital billboard in six simple steps.

The Concept

You carve out space by creating a legacy – giving it a name, choosing how much room it takes up, and optionally adding an image or link. The more you invest, the more space you claim. If you add 1% of the value, your legacy takes up about 1% of the billboard. Fair. Visible. Yours. New here? Learn more about TheWorldsBillboard.

Getting Started

  1. 1Navigate to “Embed Legacy” at the top of the interface.
  2. 2Give your legacy a name. Your unique key makes yours distinctly you, even if names overlap.
  3. 3Pick how big you want it: a fixed amount, or a percentage of the whole billboard.
  4. 4Add an image and link if you'd like (moderated for safety).
  5. 5Review and accept the Terms of Service.
  6. 6Confirm, and your legacy is live for the world to see.

Growing Your Legacy

Anyone can contribute to anyone else's legacy. Keys are public. If you believe in someone's work, or want to amplify a story that matters to you, find their key and add to it. Their space grows. Their legacy gets bigger. You become part of their story.

You can also grow your own. Toggle “I have an existing key,” enter it (find it in your legacy's details or by searching for yourself), and add more. Your space expands.

Percentages, Size, and Pricing

The size of your legacy is calculated as a proportion of total contributions, aiming to reflect the percentage you choose.

Because of cent-based pricing, rounding, and pixel-precise layout, your final share and exact pixel coverage may differ slightly from the displayed percentage.

Prices and percentages can update in real time as new contributions are made, so always review the final amount and space before confirming payment.

Payments

Card payments are processed through a secure third‑party provider; crypto contributions, where offered, are generally final and may not be reversible.

Submitting a payment sends your content into the review process but does not guarantee that it will be approved or displayed. More questions? See our payments FAQ or contact billing support.
