TheWorldsBillboard is a collaborative digital billboard where anyone can claim a permanent space. You create a “legacy” by choosing a name, size, and optionally adding an image or link. How do I create a legacy?

Navigate to “Embed Legacy” at the top of the interface, give your legacy a name, choose your size (fixed amount or percentage), optionally add an image and link, accept the Terms of Service, and confirm. Your legacy goes live after content review. See the full step-by-step guide.

Is TheWorldsBillboard legit?

Yes. It’s a live project that launched in February 2026, and every space on it belongs to a real person, brand, or project you can browse in the directory. Card payments run through Stripe and crypto through NOWPayments, every image and link is reviewed before it goes live, and rejected content is refunded. You don’t need an account or an email address to take part.

Is it like the Million Dollar Homepage?

It’s inspired by it. The Million Dollar Homepage sold a fixed million pixels in 2005, sold out in early 2006, and has been frozen ever since. TheWorldsBillboard has no pixel limit and no deadline: instead of buying a fixed block, your space is sized by your share of everything contributed, so the billboard keeps growing. Can I advertise my business on it?

Yes. Plenty of spaces are small businesses, creators, and projects. Add your name, logo or image, and a link to your site; once approved, your space appears on the billboard and gets its own page in the directory. Can I grow my legacy after creating it?

Yes. Toggle “I have an existing key,” enter your key (found in your legacy's details or by searching for yourself), and add more. Your space expands.

Can someone else contribute to my legacy?

Yes. Keys are public. Anyone who believes in your work or wants to amplify your story can find your key and add to your legacy. Your space grows, and they become part of your story.

Why does my image look stretched or shifted?

When you upload an image, it stretches or shifts to fit your space. That's not a flaw – it's the nature of a living, breathing billboard. As people add more legacies, the shapes change and your image adapts with them.

Is content moderated?

Yes. Every image and link is reviewed before it goes live. Obscene or harmful content is not allowed. If your content doesn't make it through moderation, you'll receive a refund. No judgment, no complicated process.

How much does it cost?

The minimum is $3. After that, you choose how much to contribute, and your space is sized by your share of the billboard’s total. For example, adding $50 to a billboard that holds $1,000 gives you about 4.8% of it. There are no subscriptions or recurring fees. See what it costs for details.

How are payments processed?

Card payments are processed through a secure third-party provider. Crypto contributions, where offered, are generally final and may not be reversible. Submitting a payment sends your content into the review process but does not guarantee approval or display.

How is my legacy's size determined?

Your legacy's size is a direct proportion of total contributions, reflecting the percentage you choose. Due to cent-based pricing, rounding, and pixel-precise layout, your final share may differ slightly from the displayed percentage. The math is transparent.

Is this a permanent advertisement?

No. This is a digital space-claiming experience, not a permanent advertisement, ownership right, or guarantee of perpetual display. The billboard is meant to evolve as people around the world continue to add, grow, and reshape their legacies. Read more about why we built it this way.
